During DDWs' 2007-2008 World Tour, over 100 deaf schools and organizations in eight different countries were documented.

DDW is now traveling to share stories of cultural diversity and inspiration from deaf communities around the world.  As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization DDW aims to make a long term impact advocating for deaf communities in developing countries.

"DDW's program promoted a greater appreciation for the deaf and hard of hearing children who are part of our worldwide community. Dave and Davin's stories, pictures, and video clips educated and inspired our students. They taught us about the amazing accomplishments children are able to achieve when provided with opportunities and support. The program also helped our students appreciate the opportunities they sometimes take for granted."

"What DDW is doing is akin to Martin Luther King's quote: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."  Many would think little of the need to remedy the dearth of education and resources for Deaf people but DDW is bringing about a more equitable and just society. We enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on these issues and make contributions to effect change."

"Stunning! What a flabbergasting presentation and phenomenal speakers. The PowerPoint, slideshow, and video clips were awe striking. The presentation discussed languages, cultures, people, and programs, and truly had us travel internationally without being there. What truly mattered the most is their findings bring us to better understand the status of the Deaf community globally. We applaud DDW’s commitment to advocate for the needs of international Deaf communities by empowering the education, programs, and services offered in their developing cities. If their presentation is offered in your area, it’s a must to see!"

"We were truly honored to have Discovering Deaf Worlds present at SMSD for our International Ethnic Festival. You captivated everyone’s attention with your wealth of information and style.  After our students stamped school-made passports while “traveling” our country booths (at the festival), the three of you tied it all together by sharing your encounters with a vast variety of diverse cultures and communities. You have opened up a fascinating world of adventure and possibilities for our students, and have inspired them to think globally."

The DDW team is truly committed to their goal of spreading information and advocating for the international Deaf community. With excitement and experience, Dave and Christy shared their unique and challenging world travels to deaf communities with all our children, from five year olds to teenagers. “Comprehensive educational materials defining the languages and customs of people who are deaf and hard of hearing in foreign lands and cultures are resources that teachers and students need right now.  Supporting DDW is critically important, as this organization endeavors to open pathways of understanding and awareness worldwide. Documenting and sharing what DDW has learned about people who are deaf and hard of hearing in other cultures and countries will contribute greatly to the enlightenment of our global community.”
