Since the start-up of Discovering Deaf Worlds in 2006, over 100 hours of video footage has been accumulated from eight countries. We are now coordinating with video specialists to create a series of short documentary films for public television syndication. These films will be a cross-cultural comparison of the opportunities available to various international deaf and hard of hearing communities. Nearly 20 different languages signed or spoken will be reflected in the unique perspectives of deaf leaders, teachers, politicians, dancers, artists, business owners, interpreters and advocates from around the world.
