DDW travels the world to research and document what life is like for deaf people in developing countries. Due to language barriers, social and cultural stigmas, and limited information available, it is important for DDW to connect face to face with deaf leaders, schools, associations, humanitarians, and advocates in these countries.
While learning about the struggles of international deaf communities, DDW also identifies and promotes the work of individuals and organizations responding to these issues, and is building a network of international deaf advocacy organizations.
